"The medication opens a window where change is easier. The value is in using it: building the behaviours while the weight is coming off, not after."

What Natalie is accountable for

Natalie wrote the Anova Method, the behavioural program that runs alongside medical treatment. It is the part of Anova that decides what gets worked on, in what order, and when: the whole-person snapshot, the first focus, the phases, and the tools patients use week to week.

Training and background

Natalie is a Registered Psychologist and Principal Psychologist at Drop of Life Psychology Clinic. Her work sits on the part of weight that is not on the scales: hunger, habit, mood, setback and recovery.

How she practises at Anova

Treatment opens a window. The method exists to use it. Natalie works alongside Dr Andrew Sax so the behavioural plan and the clinical plan are built against each other, and so what a patient builds during treatment is still there when the medication stops. We call that behavioural capital.
